Yeah I agree. Having such short stints everywhere is a concern.
Sampaoli did a good job at Marseille too but he never lasts very long either.
Lionel SCALONI is doing a good job with Argentina.

Hetha Berlin top of Bundesliga at the moment.
What that guy has done there is pretty amaxing.
Promotion from Bundesliga2 to European qualificaion in a couple of years and not sitting top of the league.
No idea what his style of play is to be honest.

Fair enough.
I think Spanish style and a limited budget suits Pellegrini.
And loyalty is probably too big a thing for me in terms of Villas-Boas.
Anyone found any odds on our next managers?

Pellegrini is doing a great job at Betis who are currently 3rd in la Liga.
I wouldn’t be against Villa-Boas. At least he has won trophies.

Being out of the game for a while and going to China (Pellegrini trauma) are warning signs for me.
Really good points records at with some high level teams but did not last 2 years most places.
Probably overall no for me.

I would hope there would be a professional search for a top class manager to take control of a squad brimming with talent.

Sullivan on his own would never appoint a 'young' manager.
He always goes for experience if you look at his history. It would take Kretinsky to wade in heavily to change that pattern, as well as only ever going for guys who are out of work.
Jorge Sampaoli would be a shout, he's out of work after binning Marseille over lack of ambition...but he was quoted as not wanting the Chelsea gig as his English wasn't good enough

Well Nigel, I would like to think that you're right, but I'd sooner judge the owners over the entirety of their tenure rather than one transfer window. Particularly where managers are concerned.
In terms of managers the fact remains they have never once paid compensation to get the best manager available that West Ham can attract out of a club. They have only ever hired managers that are currently unemployed.
Much like full backs, it's not a position they particularly like spending money on and have no history of doing so.
I think one of Warburton or Nolan would get the caretaker gig initially whilst a broader search was carried out and if they got off to a good start, it wouldn't be beyond the realms that they get the gig for a longer period - perhaps till the end of the season in the first instance.
Or the other alternative is a lot of 'we tried' with big names and being fed the line of 'managers aren't willing to move during the season' before a Benitez or a Dyche is appointed.
I hope you're right however and that my cynicism proves unfounded.

Dejan Stanković
He has never been the manager in a top league but I liked him as a player and as manager of Red Star.
Lots of European experience which is where it is looking we can salvage something from this season. Won everything in the Serbian League as far that goes and did a bit of coaching in Italy.
What's Zidane doing?
